When you have decided to commission a painting from Mark a simple contract will be drawn up detailing the most basic components of the painting (size, setting, price, etc) and a 30% deposit will be due.

 

There will be 2 additional payments of 30% required during the course of the commission after the initial deposit; the second upon approval of the study, and the balance when the finished painting has been delivered.

 

A smaller working study is created for each commission, for example a 36” x 48” painting would include a 12” x16” study. The study is begun, painted to scale then shown to you (the client). It is throughout this time where Mark works closely with you discussing the layout, lighting, angle and mood and where adjustments can be made if necessary. (If you are off island, photographs will be emailed to show the progress and discuss the painting)

 

Once the final touches are made, Mark will personally deliver your very special, one-of-a-kind work of art. (unless shipping arrangements have been made)
