Marks is one of the few painters in Hawaii whose oil paintings are entirely painted outside, using the actual landscape as the model, not a photo. Therefore his work is very popular and he gets many requests for commissioned pieces. Check the status to the left to see if he is currently accepting new commmissions and use the link to contact him directly.
When you purchase a commissioned piece, Mark will:
- meet with you on prefereces and dicuss sizes of painting
- do a couple of smaller layouts to scale that become working layouts that corrections can be made to
- show you the layout and get input , make corrections
- collect 1/3 to 1/2 deposit
- start on larger painting and complete
- get your approval and upon satisfaction, collect balance
