  • 5/9/2022 - Olapa Sandy's
Inspiration: "Olapa Sandy's" was painted on the mid zone of Sandy Beach where surfing is permitted. Usually in the break, only bodysurfing is allowed but either way, they both get my respect. Olapa is used in Hawaiian Hula, as "in the style of" and the parade of warriors of men/boys, women/girls that take on the shore break is awesome!
  • 5/16/2022 - Kona Surf
Inspiration: "Kona Surf" was inspired by Lahaina Galleries as they entertained the idea of having me work with them at their Big Island Gallery supplying paintings. They loved the painting I sent them as a sample but they decided to seek an artist who was based in the Big Island. They are a quality gallery that I hope to work with one day.
  • 5/23/2022 - Lanikuhonua / Koolina
Inspiration: Painted on Location on the beach at Ko'olina with the Waianae mountains in the background midground of the rocky cove and incoming tide and a foreground of Mother and son at play.
  • 5/30/2022 - Waikiki Beach 2014 Miniature Hawaii Art Image
Inspiration: "Waikiki Beach" has to be viewed from a distance in order for it to come together visually. It's a lot of information to put on a small canvas but I don't want to reach for a small brush. There's a lot of energy going on at the beach and using a small brush would only diffuse that power.
