InspirationWhen painting at Pounders, the natural rock shelf that the surf crashes against becomes the focal point and the body surfers can see when they are drifting or getting caught in a undertow lining themselves with the rock. To appreciate this location, I setup behind the Lauhala trees to give it a Polynesian look on 36" x 48" original canvas, and pounded in metal stakes against my easel to brave any squalls coming through, it was a fun time.
